Local author Ruth Hanford Morhard will visit to discuss her new book, Mrs. Morhard and the Boys.
Meet Ruth Hanford Morhard, author of Mrs. Morhard and the Boys. In this inspiring biography, Ruth tells the true story of her mother-in-law, Josephine Morhard, who established the first boys’ baseball league in America. The devoted single mother created the community activity in the depths of the Great Depression to help her son overcome the trauma of his early childhood. Beyond all expectations, the project was backed by the Cleveland Indians and later inspired the creation of the American Little League.

The City of South Euclid will conduct a resurfacing project on South Green Road between Mayfield Road and Cedar Road that we anticipate will result in travel delays. The resurfacing project is expected to begin Monday, April 3, 2023, and continue through late fall. During that time, we encourage all visitors to the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library to plan accordingly and allow themselves ample travel time. The South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch will remain open for normal hours of operation during construction.
