This four-week series is specifically designed for students in kindergarten through second-grade who are struggling with their reading skill and their parents/caregivers. Each session is a two-part program of information and fun! For the first part, parents go separately with a Learning Specialist to learn tips for working with their child at home, while children remain with the librarian for fun reading-based activities. During the second part, families participate together. Participants will need to attend each week of this four-week series. Registration required, and space is very limited.
Participants may be recorded and/or surveyed to capture program’s effectiveness. More information can be found here: www.cuyahogalibrary.org/Kids-Teens/Parents-and-Teachers/Parent-Options.aspx.
