Rick McIntyre, the park ranger featured in Nate Blakeslee's American Wolf, will visit to discuss his new book, The Rise of Wolf 8.

Rick McIntyre has served as a seasonal park ranger at such sites as Yellowstone, Denali, Glacier, and Big Bend National Parks. His books include War Against the Wolf: America's Campaign to Exterminate the Wolf and Grizzly Cub: Five Years in the Life of a Bear.

His work with wolves at Yellowstone National Park was featured in Nate Blakeslee's book American Wolf: A True Story of Survival and Obsession in the West. Though he is now retired from the National Park Service, McIntyre continues his involvement in wolf conservation and education.

McIntyre will be discussing his new book, The Rise of Wolf 8: Witnessing the Triumph of Yellowstone's Underdog, book one in The Alpha Wolves of Yellowstone Trilogy.
