Spend this extra day of 2020 writing! Drop in at the Writers’ Center any time from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for quiet writing, light refreshments, pizza lunch at 12 noon, door prizes, and these special programs:
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. "Vision Workshop for Writers" with Andrea Campbell, memoirist and inspirational speaker. Eliminate, fear, doubt and procrastination while confidently moving toward your goal and achieving greater results with less effort. In this workshop you will learn strategies to help you not only start your writing project, but complete it as well.
1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. “Getting Unstuck: Dealing with Writer's Block” with Dr. E. F. Schraeder, poet. Join us for a conversation about common causes and hands on exercises to get the creative machinery working. Bring in one to two pages of a current project and get unstuck.
3:00 - 4:30 p.m. "Journaling for Results: Relieving Stress, Solving Problems" with workshop facilitator Cindy Washabaugh. The value of journaling in improving stress levels and even physical health is well-documented. In this class, you’ll sample exercises for decreasing stress and brainstorming solutions to challenges.
