A cancer survivor with a destroyed jaw, to a young woman who was shot in the face during an attack, five Parisians with visibly disfigured faces describe their daily experience.Directed by Didier Cros
From a cancer survivor with a destroyed jaw, to a young woman who was shot in the face during an attack, five Parisians with visibly disfigured faces describe their daily experience. They feel isolated, and sometimes even humiliated, as a result of their appearance. They try to remain as unnoticed as possible, and feel that society treats them as ‘others.’ A famous Parisian portrait studio is set on changing this reality, however. Through a series of powerful photographs, the portraits not only redefine how these people view themselves, but change the way society views them. Contains subtitles. Directed by Didier Cros
