Watercolor and drawing

Explore your creativity with teaching artist Laura Cooperman. The goal of this eight week watercolor painting & drawing workshop is to introduce the complexities of watercolor painting and the necessary steps and techniques to succeed in any two-dimensional art form. The basic structure and design techniques you will learn in these workshops can be utilized in any art medium be it oil pastels or acrylics. Participants will show their finished work at a special exhibit and reception on November 11th at 6:00 PM. The workshops are especially for adults age 55 and over. Laura Cooperman received her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Laura was awarded the Grainger Marburg Travel Grant which allowed her to live and work in Beijing China. Laura has exhibited both nationally and internationally at venues such as Lesley Heller Workspace Center For Emerging Visual Artists in Philadelphia Flanders Art Gallery and Gallery Imperato. The workshop series is FREE but registration is required and begins on SATURDAY AUGUST 1 AT 9:00 AM. Interested participants must be able to attend all eight workshops to register for this event. Call (440)235-1150 for more information.  Friends of the Olmsted Falls Library.
