Take home activities to celebrate grandparents and grand-friends. Connect, have fun, learn. Take a StoryWalk or add a recipe to our cookbook. Enter a prize basket drawing. Free, while supplies last.
Festival bags have been distributed, but activity packets, the StoryWalk and the basket drawing are still available!
In this time of family separations, health crises and economic stress, it is more important than ever to recognize the importance of grandparents and grand-friends and all they do for the children they love. The third annual festival is an opportunity to spend time together in person or virtually, without attending group programs.

All materials will be available while supplies last at the drive-through window and inside the library at the Information Desks. To pick up in the library lobby, call 440-885-5362 on the same day and ask for curbside pickup. Bags are first come, first serve and cannot be reserved.
The Festival in a Bag is full of fun things to do together in person, on the telephone or via video conferencing. There are also two no-contact community projects; a festival cookbook and a puzzle mural project. Activities will be done at home. We'd love to see your fun! Take a picture of your Mail a Hug and email it to [email protected]. All materials will be quarantined before pick up and after submission to the library.
Take a grandparents-themed StoryWalk outside Parma Branch. The walk will start outside the public entrance. Follow the signs and read the story as you proceed around the east end of the building and past the glass garden. No contact or registration required. CCPL will also have special StoryWalks for grand-families at Beachwood City Park East, Liberty Playground in Independence and at Orange Branch. Click here for all CCPL's StoryWalks.
Every grandparent is eligible for one entry into a drawing for a basket of books and prizes to celebrate and support grandparenting. To enter, email the grandparent’s name and a telephone number or email address to [email protected]; or call the Children’s Room at 440-885-5362. See also instructions in Festival Bag.
