This event will be held virtually on Zoom.
This seminar leads you on an exploration of short storytelling forms such as flash and the traditional short story. Participants will explore examples of these forms, consider literary elements, and discuss particular styles and traits associated with various genres, from literary (character-driven) to speculative. The seminar also offers brief exercises to engage you in creative writing in order to support your developing practice. Participants will also consider the "Submittable" service as a tool for submitting written material to literary journals.
A meeting link will be emailed to registered participants approximately one hour prior to the start of the program. Staff will be available for help with connecting to Zoom and technical issues beginning 15 minutes prior to the program. You will need a device with audio and/or video and an internet connection to join. If you have questions about this program, please contact Laurie Kincer at the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch at 216-382-4880.
