This event will serve as a kick-off for a new book club for students involved with My Brother’s Keeper (MBK). MBK is a statewide coalition of advocates and communities dedicated to improving outcomes for boys and young men of color and creating opportunities for all of Ohio’s youth.

My Brother’s Keeper Ohio was launched in October 2018 to serve as a support system for Ohio’s 11 MBK communities. The Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race & Ethnicity at The Ohio State University leads the coordination of Ohio’s first-ever statewide network and works in partnership with the university’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Office of Senator Sherrod Brown to help MBK communities build capacity, implement evidence-based strategies, and measure progress in closing opportunity gaps for Ohio's youth.
