Join us to explore the barriers preventing Black men from becoming medical doctors and the consequences on society at large. This program will take place virtually using Zoom. #blackhistory
Fewer Black men applied to medical school in 2014 than in 1978, and Black men have the lowest life expectancy in the United States. With only 2% of American doctors being Black men, this comes as no surprise. The Black Men in White Coats documentary details the systemic barriers preventing Black men from becoming medical doctors and the consequences on society at large.
All registrants will receive a link to watch the documentary on their own between February 15-17.
A second link will be sent to join the virtual film discussion on Thursday, February 18 at 7 PM.
This program will be held virtually using Zoom, no download is required.
Registration and an email address are required to receive the links to watch the documentary and to participate in the discussion. A meeting link will be emailed to registered participants approximately one hour prior to the start of the discussion program. You will need a device with audio and/or video and an internet connection to join.
