Community Action Poverty Simulation

The Greater Cleveland Food Bank presents a simulation experience designed to help participants begin to understand what it might be like to live in a typical low-income family.

The Middleburg Heights Branch in collaboration with the Middleburg Heights Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank present a poverty simulation experience.  In the simulation participants will assume the roles of different families and spend a "month" in poverty.  Afterwards, participants will take part in a facilitated discussion on how it felt to spend a "month" struggling to meet basic needs and learn how they can become more involved in helping solve this community problem.

The experience lasts approximately 3 hours and will be held at the Middleburg Heights Community Center.
