Susan Henderson’s latest, The Flicker of Old Dreams, is set in America’s heartland and explores themes of resilience, redemption, and loyalty in prose as lyrical as it is powerful.
Susan Henderson will visit to discuss her new book, The Flicker of Old Dreams. With quiet precision and technical clarity, the novel tells the story of a young woman who comes most alive while working in her father’s mortuary in a small, forgotten Western town.
Henderson is a five-time Pushcart Prize nominee and the recipient of an Academy of American Poets Prize. She is also the author of Up from the Blue.
