Art historian Felicia Zavarella Stadelman returns with her popular series on the lives and works of beloved artists.
Suzanne Valadon - Transformed herself from an artist's model into a successful artist observing and learning their techniques before becoming a noted painter herself. Known as the “mistress of Montmartre” living by the phrase “Vive l’amour”, she created powerful and controversial figure paintings. Her version of Adam and Eve was the first piece by a female artist to show a nude man and woman together.
