Cleveland violinist Mary Beth Ions will perform an engaging, one-woman violin show. Classical selections, Broadway favorites, more & share stories about life as a freelance musician during Covid.
Whether on stage at Severance Hall with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra or in the orchestra pit for touring Broadway shows at Playhouse Square (Phantom of the Opera, etc...)
Cleveland violinist Mary Beth Ions brings her passion for music to these and many other venues. She is equally at ease playing country fiddle, Classical concertos, Gershwin, Beatles, Sinatra, Coldplay, Bruno Mars and Adele! She has provided back-up music for a wide variety of performers such as Andrea Bocelli, Rod Stewart, Josh Groban, Barry Manilow, Smokey Robinson and Mannheim Steamroller. She performed backup for The Who at Blossom Music Center on September 10, 2019. Her diverse musical life includes performances at weddings, churches and synagogues, even symphonic concerts of Video Game Music. Mary Beth presents a one-woman violin show where she takes the audience on a musical journey from the Classics to music from Downton Abbey and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra!
A great believer in the power of music to heal and inspire, Mary Beth is dedicated to the mission of bringing live music up close and personal to those who might not otherwise experience it. She performs her one-woman concerts at dozens of retirement communities and nursing homes. She strolls as she plays and loves to take audience requests.
Mary Beth is thrilled to be a member of MetroHealth's Arts in Medicine Department and looks forward to enhancing patient experience with all genres of music.
