Orange Branch

The Hope and Stanley Adelstein Room (A/B) (90)

We're designing a monarch way station and pollinator habitat at the Orange Branch. Come be part of this exciting project at your library.

Don't miss this opportunity to join award winning landscape designer and pollinator expert Ann Cicarella for a three-part workshop on plants and pollinators. Learn how you can design, build and maintain biodiverse landscapes and habitats for pollinators and wildlife. Participants will have the opportunity to assist in the creation of the pollinator habitat at the Orange Branch.

April 19th: Discover Our Amazing Pollinators
Explore the world of our fascinating pollinating insects from bees, butterflies, moths, flies and beetles. Discover the value of pollinators beyond providing food and resources for people.

April 26th: The Powerful Partnerships of Plants & Pollinators
Learn what native plants are needed to supply a rich foraging habitat for pollinators and wildlife, in addition to plant communities that provide nest sites for native bees, host plants for butterflies and overwintering refuge for other beneficial insects.

May 3rd: Design in Harmony with Nature
Investigate case studies of pollinator gardens for inspiration and explore the basic design principles these landscapes share. We will focus on how to create plant communities that are diverse, robust and layered for resiliency.
