Write stories prompted by objects from your recent or not-so-recent past.
Such objects might include a recipe, photograph, toy, or home movie. We'll talk about augmenting memories as necessary through online records, maps, newspapers, or other sources and we'll cover some basics of memoir writing in each session of this six-week class (Tuesdays, October 2 through November 6). Participants will have the opportunity to turn one memoir piece into a short video with library equipment, including the Memory Lab, assisted by library staff. The library will host a reading and reception for participants and their guests where these videos will be shown on Saturday, November 10, from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
