P.A.L.S. stands for Programs for All Lives, a year-long series of adapted programs created especially for customers with special needs.
Adults of all abilities are welcome to join the maker movement at the Parma-Snow Branch Library! We will be adapting a traditional maker night for individuals with special needs.
Using vinyl stencils, we will screen print a t-shirt with a fun design. Please bring your own, plain cotton t-shirt; all other supplies will be provided. To screen print, we pull a squeegee across a screen with a vinyl design to transfer the ink to your shirt.
While we wait for the shirts to dry, we will create a unique project using a vinyl stencil and canvas. Using a vinyl sticker, we will paint using our hands, brushes and/or sponges to paint over the design. Once the paint dries, we will peel off the sticker and have a beautiful piece of art.
Caregivers are welcome to attend but do not need to register themselves.
We will be working with screen printing ink and washable paint, so please wear old clothes. The Parma-Snow Branch Library and Resource Room are both fully accessible and staff will be available to assist during the program.
Let us know if there's anything we can do to help you participate! Please email Kathleen at [email protected] with any questions or requests.
