Adults 55+ will learn the basics of jewelry making in this 8-week class.
Jewelry designer and teacher, Alsie Clay, will guide students through jewelry making beginning with simple techniques progressing through more complex ones with each session building on the next. Students will learn, ultimately, to design, create and finish their own project to craft a professional-looking jewelry piece to take with them. This class will begin on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 and continue every Thursday until November 1. An end-of-class reception will be held on Saturday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m. Students, family, friends and the public can see the completed pieces and hear about the students’ experiences in the class.
Prerequisite: The course is free, but students must be able to commit to the full 8-week course and closing reception to participate.
