Tell a true, 8-minute (or under) story and listen to others' at this first ever free pop-up version of Story Club.
Story Club is a nonfiction storytelling show with the goal to mix the spontaneity of an open mic with the experience of live theater. We’re taking the show on the road in our first ever free Pop-Up Event!
Toss your name into the drawing to tell an 8-minute story or simply enjoy hearing the stories of your friends and neighbors. We aim to create an inclusive and welcoming space for all stories and those that tell them.
Story Club was started in Chicago by Dana Norris in 2009 and now exists in Cleveland and Pittsburgh. The Cleveland flagship show occurs the first Friday of every month at the Brownhoist, an historic building at 4403 St. Clair Avenue, at 7 PM. This free pop-up event will be hosted by Story Club producer Jamie Stewart Crawford, a writer and comedian in the Cleveland area.
Can't make this Story Club Pop-Up? Don't worry -- we're doing an afternoon pop-up on Saturday, July 20, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Writers' Center. Register here!
