About the author:
Marlene Targ Brill is an award-winning author of seventy-three books for all ages, including Dolores Huerta Stands Strong: The Women Who Demanded Justice from Ohio University Press. She especially seeks to write women into history and tell stories of the undersung.
Jane Addams: The Most Dangerous Woman in America tells the story of one of the most controversial women of the twentieth century. Jane Addams advocated for children, women, immigrants, fair working conditions, and world peace at a time when women were told to keep quiet and stay at home. Her efforts led to the founding of the first school of social work and of Hull-House, the best-known community house in the United States.
