Six-month fiction writing workshop focused on short stories. Led by Eric Anderson.
This is a fiction writing workshop which meets once a month for six months to give and receive feedback on participants' short stories. Each month, writers receive a writing prompt and word limit. They then email their piece to instructor Eric Anderson for workshopping the following month. Eric compiles them into one document which he emails to participants. Participants must commit to reading and critiquing up to 40 pages for each meeting. Everyone will take part in the critiques and learn how to discuss the process of writing and rewriting fiction.
It's important to the workshop process that we create a community of writers who know and trust each other, so please commit to attending at least five of the six classes. Space is limited and registration is required.
Instructor Eric Anderson has published a novella Isn't That Just Like You? and a collection of poems The Parable of the Room Spinning. His writing has appeared in The Sun, Artful Dodge, and the North American Review.
