The use of the submarine during World War I irrevocably altered the character of warfare and hit America especially hard with the sinking of the passenger-liner Lusitania.

Join Professor Emeritus George N. Vourlojianis as he presents on the use of the submarine as a terror weapon in World War I.  Germany's sinking of the passenger-liner Lusitania stunned the world and brought the war home, particularly to Americans.  The intentional killing of so many non-combatants ushered in the era of unrestricted warfare - Total War.
