No director was more adept at tapping into our fears and phobias than that cinematic master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. Largely Literary Theater Company co-founders Sara Showman and Mark Dawidziak mix biography and movie history with humorous interludes and storytelling to explore the life and career of the most iconic director in film history.
Their new one-act show uses lighthearted sketches, props and costume pieces as they discuss such celebrated Hitchcock films as Rebecca, Suspicion, Notorious, Rear Window, Vertigo and North by Northwest. From his 1927 Jack the Ripper thriller The Lodger to the landmark Psycho in 1960, no director cut a more impressive path across the silver screen.
Book signing and sales will follow.

The Chagrin Falls Branch traces its roots all the way back to 1921, when a group of women formed the Chagrin Falls Memorial Association. After selling 44 shares of stock for $10 a piece, the women rented a room on the second floor of a building to support a library service. The branch joined the Cuyahoga County Public Library system in 1924.
