Learn how to make a simple pocket stitch for your garden flag on our sewing machine in the Innovation Center and then sublimate a fall design on it.
Participants will learn how to setup up our Singer Model 4432 sewing machine in the Innovation Center. The first part of the maker involves making pocket stitch for your flag. Experience using a sewing machine is helpful but not required. Please note setting up a sewing machine requires fine motor skills and require seeing items close up. Please let staff know if you need any accommodations.
For the second part of the class, participants will see how the sublimation printer works and heat press a design on their garden flag. If a customer would like a personal photo or a specific non-copyrighted image, please email staff, Becky Buryanek, a digital file of the photo or image (Examples of files that will work are: jpeg, png, image on a word document and pdf file) a few days before the program so she can save the files on a flash drive to print. Becky's email is [email protected].
Space is limited and registration is required.
