Get to the root of the words in a poem for a fresh view of language.
CANCELLED. WE REGRET THE INCONVENIENCE.
It's all about the words. Workshop participants will dig into the etymology of the words of an existing poem. You will then use the results of this excavation as “jumping off points” to create an exciting, new poem. This method unleashes a fresh view of familiar language and encourages associative mental leaps and productive tangents. Please bring: a dictionary or an electronic device to aid in your etymological exploration, or use one of the library's laptops.
