Chuck Jakubchak will discuss how many non-religious symbols have become part of our modern holiday traditions.

For hundreds of years Christmas celebrations have been intertwined with plants, trees and the environment as well as an assortment of popular songs.  Join us  as local naturalist Chuck Jakubchak discusses how many non-religious symbols have become part of our modern holiday traditions.  Discover why we decorate with wreaths, erect evergreen trees, and the origins of related traditions like singing about chestnuts, wishing for a white Christmases, and admiring a slightly-misfit reindeer.  Take a break from the busyness of December and relax during this festive event.

Located on Wallings Road, just east of State Road adjacent to the North Royalton Family YMCA, the North Royalton Branch features a full-service drive-up window, community meeting spaces and a beautiful nature-themed children’s area.
