Learn about flamenco fashion and design, and craft a flamenco peineta.
In this workshop, learn about the world of flamenco fashion and design and craft a flamenco peineta – a special hair comb commonly worn in Andalusia, by flamenco dancers or anyone wanting to dress up with flamenco flair.
Alice Blumenfeld is known for a unique and “fierce presence (her movements seem to arise from several feet beneath the ground)” (Thinking Dance) and her “sharp and exhilarating” energy onstage (Philadelphia Inquirer). She is at the forefront of flamenco in the United States, a leader in contemporary flamenco choreography and a nationally recognized teacher and performer. She is currently an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Akron and a teaching artist for the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning.

The Richmond Heights Branch is the only branch in the Cuyahoga County Public Library system co-located with a school. Opened in August 2021, the branch is connected to the Richmond Heights Upper School, but has its own dedicated entrance, allowing the general public to access the branch seven days a week.
This branch is a Student Success Center and Greater Cleveland Food Bank Kids Cafe location.
