Attention young book lovers in grades 3-5! Imagine a tasting party, but instead of sampling food, you'll be diving into a delicious selection of brand-new books!
Join us for a special event where you'll get to preview a variety of exciting new books, each one carefully selected just for you. Like a menu at a fancy restaurant, you’ll have a chance to “sample” each book by reading a few pages and exploring what makes it special.
How It Works:
Book Sampling: Flip through pages and get a sneak peek at different books from various genres.
Star Ratings: After exploring, share your thoughts by giving each book a star rating! How many stars does it deserve? It’s your chance to let us know which books you’d love to read next.
Snacks and Drinks: Enjoy tasty snacks and refreshing drinks while you read and rate. It’s the perfect combination of book exploration and delicious treats!

In 1829, Charles Hyde Olmsted promised to donate 500 books from his father’s collection if the residents agreed to change the name of their town from Lenox to Olmsted. They did and the books traveled by oxcart and were housed in individual residents’ homes while being circulated. The “Oxcart Library” is thought to be the first circulating public library in the Western Reserve.
