Volunteers 13 and older (at least 8th grade) can earn volunteer credit hours by helping in the library's juvenile Chess and Checkers Club.

Teens (at least 8th grade) can earn volunteer credit hours by assisting library staff in Chess and Checker's Club. Volunteer tasks are as follows: set up, clean up, and teaching chess during the program to young participants. Want to find more ways to get involved in the library? Chess and Checkers Club program description: Grades 1st through 5th can drop-in to play chess and checkers with other kids. Don't know how to play? No worries, we will teach you!

Chess and Checkers Club will be held in the Story/Craft Meeting at the Mayfield Library. Please report to the Story/Craft Meeting Room when volunteering for this event to earn your credit hours. This room is located in the children's area of the library.
