Volunteers 13 and older (at least 8th grade) can earn volunteer credit hours by helping in the library's juvenile Chess and Checkers Club.
Teens (at least 8th grade) can earn volunteer credit hours by assisting library staff in Chess and Checker's Club. Volunteer tasks are as follows: set up, clean up, and teaching chess during the program to young participants. Want to find more ways to get involved in the library? Chess and Checkers Club program description: Grades 1st through 5th can drop-in to play chess and checkers with other kids. Don't know how to play? No worries, we will teach you!
