Come learn about the power of storytelling.
The art of storytelling is part of a rich oral tradition found in many cultures including African and African American. In this workshop, participants will learn about the African American oral tradition, the basics of story collection, and how personal narratives are used in academic and business settings. Materials provided.
Michelle Rankins, founder/president of m.rankins creative enterprises, llc, is a published poet, creative professional, and an educator for over 20 years. She was a featured poet for Word on The Street -- Summer Block Party for Literary Cleveland, The BLAX Museum at the Maltz Museum, Pandemonium! at the Cleveland Public Theatre, READING RACE: Poetic Expressions of Identity at MOCA Cleveland, and the International Conference on 20th Century American Poetry in Wuhan, China.
