Join us for a fun chat and themed activities about a different chapter book genre each month. Books available at the Youth Desk one month before each session.
March: Take a supernatural voyage through imaginary lands alongside magical beings and mythological creatures when you read a Fantasy title like "Ella and Owen: The Cave of Aaaaah! Doom!" by Jaden Kent ; illustrated by Iryna Bodnaruk, or "Eva Evergreen, Semi-Magical Witch" by Julie Abe.
April: Get ready for high stakes missions as characters brave dangerous conditions, explore the world, overcome obstacles, and achieve their goals in Action-Adventure titles like "Mia Mayhem is a Superhero!" by Kara West, illustrated by Leeza Hernandez; or "Out of Range" by Heidi Lang.
May: Follow clues, solve riddles, and crack the case with kid sleuths and animal detectives in Mystery stories like these: "Wednesday & Woof: Catastrophe" by Sherri Winston, illustrated by Gladys Jose; or "Book Scavenger" by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman, illustrated by Sarah Watts.
For students in grades 1-4. Registration is required.

The Beachwood Branch first opened to the public on October 31, 1982. At the time, it was the first branch in the CCPL system to have an automated circulation system. Located just a few hundred yards from the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, the branch offers a drive-up window where customers can pick up requested materials, dedicated spaces for kids and teens, and a beautiful outdoor reading garden.
