Get ready for Earth day! Learn how to make a sea Anemone or an Origami Fish to restore our ocean back to health and then watch the movie Oceans. Earn community services hours. Snacks included.
Each sea creature will be submitted to Students Rebuild (www.studentsrebuild.org) and will be matched with $2 in funding to support other youth-focused, science-based programs aimed at developing a new generation of citizen-conservationists who can help restore the ocean to health. The Oceans movie by Disney Nature is narrated by Pierce Brosnan, this nature documentary examines underwater life-forms across the globe using state-of-the-art equipment. Community service hours are available to students attending this program. Refreshments will be provided. Sponsored by the Friends of the Parma libraries.
Participants may be recorded and/or surveyed to capture this program’s effectiveness. This program may include activities that could be considered harmful. In order for your child to participant you must sign the Release and Hold Harmless form and return to program location at least one week prior to the program start date.
