In honor and remembrance of the 75th anniversary of D-Day, the Strongsville Historical Society presents a program about World War II and what life was like on the home front during the war.
In honor and remembrance of the 75th anniversary of D-Day, the Strongsville Historical Society, in partnership with the Strongsville Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library, presents a program about World War II and what life was like on the home front during the war. The presentation will include a slide show and collection of artifacts.
Guests are invited to bring artifacts that they would like to display and share with those in attendance. Light refreshments will be provided at this free event. All are welcome! Event held in the Large Meeting Room at Strongsville Branch Library.
Don’t forget about the Strongsville memorabilia sold in the Olds General Store in the Historic Village. Call the Village number at 440-572-0057 to make an appointment with the Store Proprietors to buy pottery, aprons, sweatshirts, afghans, vintage Deganhart glass, postcards and note cards, Strongsville Family history books, etc. The latest book is a compilation of letters written to Strongsville’s Asa and Charlotte Drake between 1821 and 1857. The letters along with reference maps and articles highlighting various places and events look into the life of our pioneer ancestors.
