Meet Author Susan Meissner

Susan Meissner, bestselling author of historical fiction, visits to discuss her latest novel, The Last Year of the War.

Following a German-American girl whose father is accused of being a Nazi sympathizer during World War II, The Last Year of the War tells a little-known story with great resonance for our own times.

Susan Meissner is an award-winning author, speaker and writing workshop leader with a background in community journalism. Her novels include As Bright as Heaven, Secrets of a Charmed Life, and A Fall of Marigolds. A California native, she attended Point Loma Nazarene University and is also a writing workshop volunteer for Words Alive, a San Diego non-profit dedicated to helping at-risk youth foster a love for reading and writing.
