International Women’s Day is a global celebration honoring the accomplishments of Women Socially, Economically, Culturally, and Politically. Join author Deborah Hill in celebration of all women.
International Women’s Day is a call for Gender Parity and Equity. International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 8. It’s also about Unity and Advocacy. Women have come a long way, but we must acknowledge that we still have a long ways to go. The color purple is worn on that day to symbolize Justice and Dignity.
“It is a time to give ourselves permission to internally acknowledge, affirm, and validate, our service, skills, experience, education, and contributions women make to the world as we continue to step into our destiny. As women we should always know that we are good enough ,worthwhile and have value. We are continuously growing, and evolving.”
As women continue to face challenges in the 21st century, we must have the courage, resolve, and determination to give power to our voices. We are living in a defining decade of this country’s history. We must take every opportunity to appreciate our Milestones, as we empower future generations of women and girls to live their best lives.
As women, mothers, wives, and daughters we must continue to uplift, teach, and encourage each other as we reach for the stars.
