1963: A Year in the Life of a Nation, As Reflected in the Words and Deeds of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel. This program will be held virtually using Zoom.
The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel were two of the most committed and outspoken human rights and civil rights activists of their day. This presentation will focus on 1963, the year in which they met, and the significance of their leadership in the larger history of the Modern Civil Rights Movement.
This program is led by Regennia N. Williams, PhD; Founder and Director of the RASHAD Center, Incorporated; Distinguished Scholar of African American History and Culture; The Western Reserve Historical Society.
This program will be held virtually using Zoom, no download is required.
