Join us for a discussion exploring the shared and contrasting experiences as Latinx individuals growing up in the United States. This program will take place virtually using Zoom.
While all Latinx individuals have varied backgrounds and unique family histories, we also encounter common threads that tie us together. Join us for a discussion exploring our shared and contrasting experiences as Latinx individuals growing up in the United States. This discussion will be led by Selina Pagán, president of the Young Latino Network.
To create some food for thought, we invite you to watch the documentary "Being ñ: The Healing of a Latino Generation" before the program. This documentary explores the distinct, shared experience of 16 million people living in the U.S. today called Enyes (ñ)s. Enyes (ñ)s are first generation American-born Latinos with at least one parent from a Spanish -speaking country.
"Being ñ" is available for FREE with your library card through the streaming service Kanopy. If you do not have a library card, you can visit our website HERE or call your local Cuyahoga County Library branch for assistance.
This program will be held virtually using Zoom, no download is required.
Registration and an email address are required to receive the link to participate. A meeting link will be emailed to registered participants approximately one hour prior to the start of the program. You will need a device with audio and/or video and an internet connection to join.
