This event will be held virtually on Zoom.
Method writing is a creative character and content development technique used to create an intimate relationship between the writer and reader. It's useful in both nonfiction and fiction writing by further connecting the writer with their reader.
Over two sessions (June 16 and 30), each workshop participant will create a fictional character or ideal reader profile to determine relevant personal demographics, specific needs, and desired outcomes. You will then role play by interacting with others as your character/ideal reader. During this process, you will be challenged with observing your own feelings, physical reactions, and emotions, and describing it in detail. This information will be used to create realistic and compelling content for your project.
A meeting link will be emailed to registered participants approximately one hour prior to the start of the program. Staff will be available for help with connecting to Zoom and technical issues beginning 15 minutes prior to the program. You will need a device with audio and/or video and an internet connection to join. If you have questions about this program, please contact Laurie Kincer at the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch at 216-382-4880.

The City of South Euclid will conduct a resurfacing project on South Green Road between Mayfield Road and Cedar Road that we anticipate will result in travel delays. The resurfacing project is expected to begin Monday, April 3, 2023, and continue through late fall. During that time, we encourage all visitors to the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library to plan accordingly and allow themselves ample travel time. The South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch will remain open for normal hours of operation during construction.
