April 9 – Poetry Boot Camp: Getting Published in Literary Magazines / Don't write in a vacuum—getting your work out there isn't as difficult as you might think! Learn the fundamentals of the submission process, managing your submissions and using online tools.
April 16 – Poetry Boot Camp: Rhyme, Rhythm and Motion / Rhyming isn't dead, despite what you've heard. Learn how poetry flows and master your words.
April 23 – Poetry Boot Camp: Close Reading, Criticism and Feedback / What feedback is actually helpful for fellow writers? The techniques in this workshop aim to improve feedback and help participants get more out of the poetry reading experience.
April 30 – Poetry Boot Camp: Symbol, Simile and Metaphor / Light up your writing for audiences using techniques that draw effective comparisons, such as symbol, simile and metaphor.
Jeremy Jusek received his MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Arcadia. He is a recipient of two poetry awards, including the Emerson Prize. His poems have appeared in several publications.
