Teen Maker Club - Cartooning Creations

Grades 6th - 10th

Join us after school as we explore, innovate, and create. Registration is required. Click on ‘Teen Maker Club’ for more information.

Participants will learn to draw their own individual cartooning style through the study of inking. They will create their own characters while experimenting in the styles of their favorite pop culture shows, movies, and comics.

Join us after school as we explore, innovate, and create. Each week we'll have something new and different. Registration is required. Registration opens four weeks prior to the program. 

Maker Club is a grant-funded series. Due to the grant funding, required paperwork must be completed and returned. 

Some programs will require supplies. Supplies will be distributed after the registration packet paperwork has been received. If supplies are required, a staff member will contact you a week before the program to ask which branch you would like the supplies sent to for pickup. 

Registration packets may be picked up at the Parma Snow branch Youth Information Desk, or at another branch upon request. Please specify which branch you would like to pick up your registration packet at, if applicable. Registration packets may be returned to any Cuyahoga County Public Library branch. The registration packet covers attendance for any Maker Club programs in March, April, and May 2021.

Participants may be recorded and/or surveyed to capture this program’s effectiveness.  This program may include activities that could be considered harmful. In order for your child to participant you must sign the Release and Hold Harmless form and return to program location at least one week prior to the program start date. Maker Club will be held virtually using Zoom (no download required).  Registration and an email address are required to receive the Zoom link to participate.  A meeting link will be emailed to registered participants approximately one hour prior to the start of the program.  You will need a device with audio and/or video and internet connection to join. If you are using a tablet or phone, please visit your App Store to download the Zoom app ahead of time.
