How many steps can you use to complete one simple task? Complete our weekly Rube Goldberg Machine challenges and put your knowledge of chain reactions and household objects to the test!
Complete weekly challenges to achieve simple tasks in as many steps as you can by building your own Rube Goldberg Machine! Rube Goldberg Machines are famous for using lots of steps and chain reactions to accomplish one simple goal. All you need to build one yourself are some household objects and lots of creativity!
While supplies last, Rube Goldberg Machine supply "starter kits" will be available for pickup at South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch.
Whether you use our starter kits, your own household supplies, or a combination of the two, the decisions of how many steps and what objects you use are totally up to you! Your "machine" just has to accomplish the challenge of the week.
Week two's challenge is: pop a balloon! We'll end each week's challenge with a zoom session on Thursday at 11:30 for everyone who wants to show off and check out the other challengers' machines live!
