If you liked Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Little House" books, join us in person to read about the adventures of other girls on the American frontier. Each meeting has a different book and activities.
October 7th -- The Birchbark House by Louise Erdrich
A little indigenous American girl of the Ojibwa tribe grows up with her family on an island in the Great Lakes in 1847. Make a birchbark style basket inspired by the Ojibwa.
November 4th -- Journey to a Promised Land : A Story of the Exodusters by Allison Lassieur
A black girl and her family leave the south in a wagon, headed for Kansas in the Great Exodus of 1879.
December 2nd -- Prairie Lotus by Linda Sue Park
A girl of half-Chinese, half-European ancestry who dreams of going to school moves from California to a small town in Dakota territory in 1880.

Only the registered participant will be admitted, due to space and social distancing requirements. In-person programs may be held over Zoom if required by CDC and CCPL guidelines.
