Connect with writing news, your own creativity, your writing practice, and other writers every month. All writers at all levels in all genres are welcome.
2:00 / Writing news / Community information with a focus on free opportunities.
2:15 / Writing prompts / Respond to writing prompts in poetry, fiction, or nonfiction, with optional sharing.
3:00 / Writing practice / Quiet time to focus on your own WIP (work in progress). We might do a pomodoro or word sprint, if it helps you get some writing on the page.
4:00 - 4:30 / Writers connect / Time for chat, questions, comments.
Laurie Kincer runs the William N. Skirball Writers' Center at the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch and hosts author events for the library. She holds an MLIS from Kent State University and an MA in English from Case Western Reserve University. She has co-authored a chapter in Library Partnerships with Writers and Poets, been a panelist at Book Expo and Association of Writers & Writing Programs, and had poems published locally as Laurie von Mehren.
A meeting link will be emailed to registered participants approximately one hour prior to the start of the program. Staff will be available for help with connecting to Zoom and technical issues beginning 15 minutes prior to the program. You will need a device with audio and/or video and an internet connection to join.
