Who should be telling this story and why? We will consider the three main points of view, both their limitations and advantages. We'll discuss tips and common pitfalls when using each, and we'll take a look at how masters have deployed different points of view to best effect.
Claire McMillan, author of The Necklace and Gilded Age, is the Writer in Residence at the William N. Skirball Writers' Center. McMillan grew up in and around Pasadena, CA. She practiced complex corporate litigation in San Francisco until 2003 and then received an MFA in creative writing from Bennington College. She lives on a family farm near Cleveland with her husband and their two children.

The City of South Euclid will conduct a resurfacing project on South Green Road between Mayfield Road and Cedar Road that we anticipate will result in travel delays. The resurfacing project is expected to begin Monday, April 3, 2023, and continue through late fall. During that time, we encourage all visitors to the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library to plan accordingly and allow themselves ample travel time. The South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch will remain open for normal hours of operation during construction.
