For mystery writers, aspiring mystery writers, and fiction writers in general.

Get away from the house, the spouse, the kids, the cats (and dogs), the job, the neighbors, well-meaning friends and relatives and the mile-long to-do list and do what you really want to do – improve your mystery writing skills and mingle with others who share your passion.

This is a free, two-day event open to the public. You may register for both days or for either Saturday or Sunday. To attend both days, please register for each day individually.

**PARKING also available at Notre Dame College, directly across from the library. Uniformed personnel will be available during library hours to help pedestrians cross South Green Road.**

9:45 – “Inside the Criminal Mind," Forensic Psychiatrist Megan Testa, M.D.

11:00 – Keynote: "Mystery Writing and Publishing: The Guts and the Glory," Laura DiSilverio.

Laura DiSilverio, a retired Air Force intelligence officer, is the national best-selling and award-winning author of 21 mystery, suspense and young adult sci-fi novels. She has written four cozy series for various Penguin imprints as well as the Swift Investigations books -- a humorous private investigator series -- for St. Martin's Minotaur. Her newest release is That Last Weekend, a suspense novel. A national past president of Sisters in Crime, DiSilverio taught for Mystery Writers of America's Mystery University, and teaches writing at Writer's Digest conferences and in other venues. Her appearance at “Killer Heat” is sponsored by national Sisters in Crime.
