Learn about the factors that influenced the Great Migration and its impact on Cleveland in the 20th century.

One statistical portrait of Black Cleveland during the first wave of the Great Migration suggests that the population increased from 8,448 to more than 34,000 from 1910-1925. At the time, Blacks were concentrated on the city's east side, with many living in the Greater Cedar-Central Area. Learn more about the migration and its impact on the social, cultural, political, and economic history of Cleveland. Presented by Dr. Regennia Williams, author and historian.
