Six-month fiction writing workshop focused on short stories and novel chapters. Led by Isaiah Hunt.
This six-month fiction writing workshop is dedicated to giving and receiving feedback on participants’ short stories and novel chapters. Once a month from March through August, two writers submit up to 20 pages of fiction to be workshopped by everyone. Commitment to reading and critiquing up to 40 pages is necessary for each meeting, as we will spend nearly an hour discussing each writer’s work. Our goal for this workshop is to utilize ideas, interpretations, and other values from a community of writers to expand your work. Prior experience in workshopping is recommended, but not required.
Born and raised as a proud Cleveland native, Isaiah Hunt is a recent graduate of the Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts (NEOMFA) program with a degree in Creative Writing. Most of his work focuses on near-future stories of his community, the entertainment industry, and Black cyberculture. When he’s not fiddling around with music or studying Pan-African history, he’s dreaming of worlds adjacent to our own. You can find his work through the Wick Poetry Center, Luna Negra, Camel Coat Press, and forthcoming through On the Run and elsewhere.

The City of South Euclid will conduct a resurfacing project on South Green Road between Mayfield Road and Cedar Road that we anticipate will result in travel delays. The resurfacing project is expected to begin Monday, April 3, 2023, and continue through late fall. During that time, we encourage all visitors to the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library to plan accordingly and allow themselves ample travel time. The South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch will remain open for normal hours of operation during construction.
