Learn about the different storytelling elements in film to deepen your understanding and appreciation of this popular artform.

While for most of us watching movies is an enjoyable and effortless activity, the fact is that there is a hidden language through which films communicate. This program offers an introduction to understanding movies in a deeper and more subtle way. Through learning to "read" the cinematic elements of shot scale from long-shot to close-up, as well as camera angle, camera movement, shot composition and color, the participant in the program will develop a more comprehensive understanding of the language of movies.
