An engaging hour of immersion into the violin, the queen of instruments!
Violins often dwell as vital components of orchestras on concert stages, but violinist Mary Beth Ions is exiting the stage to bring the violin’s uniquely beautiful voice to you, up close and personal! From Classical selections to fiddle tunes to rock and roll (Beatles, Kansas and The Who) you’ll experience the violin in all its glory. You’ll learn about the different types of wood essential to its sound and how the horsehair on the bow is never from a Cleveland MetroPark horse!
